No Pillows for Lindsay Lohan in Jail

By now you may have heard that Lindsay Lohan is spending some time in jail and it isn’t pretty. Lohan is not getting any special privileges and in fact doesn’t have a pillow to sleep on. This and banned use of a mobile phone are some of the things the diva has been trying to live with as she carries out nine days in jail.
These information were bared by her mother Dina for Lindsay Lohan who is expected to be released any time soon. She will head straight to an inpatient rehab facility, most likely in Los Angeles. Lohan is serving jail time for violating her probation by missing seven alcohol education classes last December.

Increased Daylight Disrupting Sleep

While the Spring does bring in a lot of good things, sleep is something that tends to be affected. No thanks to extended daylight, teenagers find themselves coping with the extended daylight exposure and hence incurring some sleep problems as supported by researchers over at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lighting Research Center (LRC).
Over time when coupled with having to rise early for school, this delay in sleep onset may lead to teen sleep deprivation and mood changes, and increase risk of obesity and perhaps under-performance in school. The new findings detail the impact of early evening light in spring on melatonin onset and sleep times.

Nap Nanny Recliners Recalled

There is a new product you should watch out for after the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall for Nap Nanny Portable Baby Recliners by Baby Matters LLC of Berwyn, PA.
The product was designed for sleeping, resting and playing and includes a foam base with an inclined indentation for the infant to sit, along with a fitted fabric cover and a three point harness. The first generation model does not have “D”-rings for the harness.
Apparently there are reports that a 4 month old baby died from the said crib. The child was in harness but found hanging over the side of the recliner. The products were sold at toy and children’s retail stores nationwide and on the web, including at the company website, www.napnanny.com, from January 2009 through July 2010. They retailed at approximately $130.
